Unfortunately the IDE crashed on me, but it did something really cool. The exception was caught and I was given the option to send the error report to Borland's Quality Central. Not only that, but if you provide your BDN credentials you can track the report! How cool is that!
I'm happy to see this new level of commitment to quality. posted by Kirby | 15-Dec-2005 2:06 AM | comments (2)
So, initial 2006 impressions? Compared to latest VS?
posted by Frank Rachel | December 19 01:02 PMI post a better review soon but for now I will say it is hard to compare the two. First of all, BDS does not support .NET 2.0. I personally prefer BDS as an IDE over VS. Although the load time is a little slower, BDS is a faster IDE when working with source modules, designers, and so on. If BDS supported .NET 2.0 I would have no reason to use VS.
